1. Description of Service

The KeyTakes Summarizer Extension is designed to help you quickly understand web content by providing AI-generated summaries. When you activate the Extension on a webpage:

• The Extension, with your permission and upon your action (e.g., clicking the Extension icon), accesses the content (text, URL, title) of the currently active webpage.
• This content is then sent to the KeyTakes Service for processing, which includes summarization by AI models and related processing.
• The generated summary and related insights are then displayed to you, typically by opening the KeyTakes website (https://keytakes.com) in a new tab with the results.

The KeyTakes website also allows users to generate summaries by directly inputting URLs or text, and to manage their accounts and subscriptions if they choose to create one.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Creating an account is optional. If you create an account, for example, to access our Pro plan, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Extension or Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that interrupts, damages, or impairs the Service. This includes not attempting to circumvent any usage limits or access controls. You are responsible for the content you process through KeyTakes.

4. Intellectual Property

The Extension, the Service, and its original content (excluding content processed by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of KeyTakes™ and its licensors. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Summaries generated by the Service are for your personal, non-commercial use. You acknowledge that the underlying articles and their content belong to their respective copyright holders.

5. Pro Plan & Payments (Optional)

KeyTakes™ offers an optional "Pro" subscription plan with enhanced features and higher usage limits. Details of the Pro plan, including pricing and features, are available on our website. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor (LemonSqueezy). By subscribing to the Pro plan, you agree to their terms and conditions. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and can be managed or canceled through your account page on the KeyTakes website.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension and Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Extension and Service will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimers

The Extension and Service are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The summaries and insights are generated by AI and may contain errors or inaccuracies. KeyTakes™ makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided through the Service. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall KeyTakes™, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Extension or Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Extension or Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
